It seems proper to start this review with the words: “I always dreamed of having lingerie from Dita”. But that wouldn’t be quite truthful. Looking at that gorgeous woman, with her refined taste, brilliant luster and perfect hairdos, I couldn’t even think of having a touch to her style.
But my favourite Asos has made this possible by making a tempting discount of £50 for a bodysuit from Dita. £75 feel much easier than £125. My size being available was very lucky, too.
Experienced online shoppers know that such things get sold out instantly. I didn’t buy it right away though, pondering for quite a bit of time. But then I realised that if my size was still available while I was still pondering – then it was on sale for me!
2.5 weeks passed as one night, and here’s my purchase!
The bodysuit combines several types of lacing and that looks very, very impressive. Even though the material is see-through in many areas, nothing is too much revealing, so enough intrigue is produced.
The bra part is adjustable. I ordered 75B and the bodysuit fits very well on the top but not so much below the waist. Feels like it expects wider hips. I wouldn’t say there’s much discomfort due to that, or that it affects the appearance but tighter bottom would look better, in my opinion.
The biggest disappointment was thread ends protruding out of the seams. Also there was a little hole between laces in the front side of the piece. According to the tag, the bodysuit is made in China. I guess you’d agree that loose thread ends and low quality seams is what you least expect from a £125 piece. One wouldn’t cry on this; still, that downgrades the piece quality to average, even with all the splendour. Photos below show details, thread and little holes between laces (click on photos to see full size).
Lingerie from Dita von Teese is certainly worth a close look at it. The fact that the designer always looks perfect doesn’t mean the designed clothes require the same from shoppers. I believe it will look good on any woman. But buying it over Internet is quite a gamble. If you’re going to buy it online, double-check the return conditions. Just in case 🙂
