Mandom Bifesta Eye Makeup Remover

Mandom Bifesta Eye Makeup Remover

There’s no point in saying how it is important to remove makeup properly (because we all know about it, right?). Eye makeup might be tricky in that respect, for example because of using waterproof mascara. Or if you are a fan of upper lash arrows. Plus, a lot of girls have sensitive eyes (by the way, I am one of them).

I prefer hydrophilic oil for removing face makeup. But not for eyes, because it may cause blurred vision and it takes time to wash it out.  I use a special product for eyes called Bifesta eye makeup remover.

The manufacturer promises careful makeup removal from the eyes. Contains ingredients that moisturize the skin and protect the eyelashes (hyaluronic acid, derivatives of vitamins B5 (panthenol) and E (tocopherol acetate)). Water and mineral oil take the first place in the composition. Active substances separate makeup from the skin and bind it. The non-irritant formula is made without fragrance, colourants and preservatives.

I especially love that Bifesta is really careful about eyelashes. There is no need to rub it to remove even persistent makeup (like waterproof mascara), just to hold a cotton pad a bit longer on the eyelid area. Girls who wear eyelash extension should be careful though.

The texture is very interesting: slightly oily, but very, very light.

How to use:

Step 1. Shake the bottle well.

Step 2. Apply the required amount to the cotton pad and apply to the closed eye for 10 seconds, so that the remover starts to dissolve the makeup. The required amount of washing is determined by experiment. If you overdo it, it can get into the eye (in that case it is necessary to wash it with water). Too small amount isn’t quite effective. So if I have heavy eye makeup, I apply the makeup remover generously using one cotton pad, and then remove remaining makeup with the other one.

For light eye makeup I use one cotton pad with the needed amount of remover, as the manufacturer recommends:

Step 3. Gently wipe the eyes with a pad, removing the remnants of makeup. No need to rub.

I use this makeup remover for years and like it! It works very well and removes makeup quickly. Sometimes it requires a little bit more time, e.g. if I put the eyeliner really close to the eyelash line. In this case I use cotton buds dipped in the remover to make sure there is no eyeliner left.

By the way, this product also works with lip makeup.

Size: 145 ml.

Price: 770 yen (about 7$)
