Japanese street fashion is something special and different from the rest of the world: unexpected, colourful and sometimes hard to understand. But has it been always like that? What about the past?
“OMOHARA Photo Exhibition” taking place at Tokyu Plaza Omotesando shows how people were dressed back in 80s. There are not too many photos, but each is very interesting and takes back to the past.

These photos are from streets and fashion shows. Foreigners on photos are primarily models. The shoots are very atmospheric. You can see what was fashion and Tokyo before the technological breakthrough.
This is the second exhibition from the series “70s, 80s, 90s”. The third one will be in November, so stay tuned if you would like to see more.
Meanwhile, here is a video from 70s photo exhibition.
